  • Avoid Harsh Chemicals: Refrain from using harsh chemicals, bleach, or strong detergents, as they can damage the natural raffia fibers. Stick to gentle, mild detergents.
  • Drying: After handwashing, gently press the water out of the raffia item by placing it on a clean, dry towel and rolling it up to absorb excess moisture. Reshape the item to its original dimensions and allow it to air dry in a shaded area, away from direct sunlight or heat sources. Avoid hanging raffia items as they may lose their shape.
  • Ironing: Raffia fabric is not suitable for ironing as it can melt or become misshapen under heat. Avoid using an iron on raffia items.
