The Journey to Becoming a Designer

After completing high school, Lê Thanh Hòa found himself in a candy factory, far from the glitz of fashion runways. Despite the financial constraints of his family background, Hòa never let go of his fashion aspirations. His determination led him to the University of Architecture, where he majored in fashion design and emerged as the valedictorian, a testament to his dedication and talent.
His graduation project caught the eye of renowned designer Minh Hạnh, who introduced it at the inaugural exhibition of Vietnam Designer’s House, marking Hòa's entry into the professional fashion scene.
In 2009, Hòa expanded his horizons by attending a course at the Raffles Design Institute in Shanghai, China, further honing his design skills.
2010 marked a milestone for Hòa as his debut collection was showcased at the Ho Chi Minh City Museum, solidifying his status in the fashion industry. He became a regular participant in national fashion contests and events, showcasing his collections monthly at Vietnam Designer’s House. He contributed to the Style & Passion program (2009 and 2010), the "Áo dài without borders" initiative for foreign embassies in Vietnam (2010), and the Đẹp Fashion Show and Đẹp Runway, organized by Đẹp magazine from 2010 to 2012.
The year 2012 was pivotal for Hòa as he was selected to design the competition wardrobe for runner-up Huyền My at the Miss World contest in China. This opportunity kick-started his journey in designing for Vietnam's pageant contestants, including Miss Đặng Thu Thảo, runner-up Tú Anh, and Miss Hương Giang, among others.
