Collection: LEKIEU

LEKIEU is a Vietnamese designer label built on tailoring, with a focus on fine materials and careful detail. Blazers lead the line at MEAN BLVD, from peplum cuts to square-shoulder silk crepe styles, and they sit next to sheath midi dresses, wide-leg pants and soft shirts.

About LEKIEU

LEKIEU tailoring

LEKIEU says each of its designs tells a different story about female power and allure. Many styles take their names from European cities, and the blazers carry most of the line. Peplum blazers such as the Nurnberg, Stuttgart and Crescent nip in at the waist and flare at the hem. The Munster and Creteil blazers have split sleeves. For a sharper shoulder, look at the Montrouge and Badajoz square-shoulder blazers in silk crepe, the Marseille in crepe, or the Nantes in satin.

Satin also carries the evening tailoring. The Tours blazer has a shawl lapel, the Montpellier an asymmetric neck, and the Badajoz Structured Lapelless Satin Blazer drops the lapel altogether. Embellished options include the Bordeaux and Venice embroidery blazers and the Perugia Bead Blazer.

Dresses, pants and shirts

The midi dresses follow the same clean lines. The Duisburg Sheath Midi Dress has a round neck and button detail, while the Desaix and Vincent sheath midis in silk crepe open with a front slit. The Dijon and Palma are softer blouson shapes in crepe de chine. For full length, the Karlsruhe Halter Maxi Dress and the Massena Sheath V-Neck Sateen Maxi Dress suit formal evenings, and the Lecce Rhinestone Maxi Dress adds shine.

Trousers come long and clean. The Saint-Paul wide-leg pants are cut in silk and the Caen in satin, while the Kenya wide-leg crepe pants reach the floor. Pair them with the Toulouse scarf-neck silk chiffon shirt or the Santa poet-sleeved crepe de chine shirt.

How to wear LEKIEU

A blazer with tailored pants works for the office and business meetings. The Palermo name covers pleated pants, straight pants and midi dresses, which makes mixing easy. For cocktail parties, anniversaries and graduation dinners, switch to a satin blazer with the Strasbourg slim-leg satin pants, or choose one of the maxi dresses. For a more covered look, the Verona comes as a high-neck midi or maxi dress, the Nimes is a high-neck pencil midi in crepe, and the Reims has 3/4 sleeves with a calf-length hem. The softer crepe de chine dresses suit Women's Day and Mother's Day lunches.
