- Hand-washing: For homespun fabric, handwashing is often the safest method. Fill a basin or sink with lukewarm water and add a mild detergent suitable for delicate fabrics.
- Iron on low heat: Use a low to medium heat setting and iron the fabric on the reverse side or with a pressing cloth. Avoid using steam, as it can cause the fabric to shrink or distort.
- Air dry : To prevent excessive shrinkage, it is recommended to air dry homespun fabric. Lay it flat on a clean towel. Avoid direct sunlight, as it can fade the colors. If machine drying is allowed, use a low heat setting or an air-dry cycle.
- Store carefully: Store homespun fabric in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight to prevent fading. Avoid folding it along creases for extended periods, as this can lead to permanent wrinkles
