About La nueva selección modesta

Modest maxi dresses with a modern cut

Modest dressing works best when the cut does the work. Here you will find sheath and A-line maxi dresses, drop-waist and layered shapes, and cape sleeves that add movement without showing more skin. The Yen layered high-neck dress, the Selin draped maxi, the Hyperion hourglass jersey dress and the Habiba cape-sleeved twill silk dress show the range.

The edit brings together CHYMEOCHY, TINH Atelier, Larmes, ECHELE, THÉSONG, TOM FRIED, Eegen Studio and DeNio, all Vietnamese designers.

When to wear a modest evening dress

Choose a high-neck chiffon or jersey maxi for cocktail evenings and anniversaries. For wedding invitations, a structured sheath in silk or cotton silk sits well with heels and a clutch. During Ramadan, a soft draped maxi carries you from iftar to late gatherings, and it layers easily under a long coat or an abaya.

Do the dresses have sleeves?

Many styles have long, puff or cape sleeves, and the sleeveless ones work with a light layer. Each product page lists sleeve and length details.
